Beatriz’s Altered Book

Ok, Beatriz sent a sample of her altered book!  Take a look:DSC_0902DSC_0908DSC_0904DSC_0911Isn’t it amazing???  Yes, this is the book that you will be making during Busy Bea’s crop weekend October 2nd – 4th.  To make this book you do have to bring an old hard cover book.  You will be altering it.  You will get to pick out 10 sheets of paper from the store that will match the theme of your book.  You will get an awesome kit full of lace, ribbon, Tim Holtz & Metal embellishments, Prima Bling, Prima Flowers, pearls, buttons, chipboard pieces,Tim Holtz tickets and so on.  Beatriz is also making each person a bag which will include cut-outs, acrylic shapes and goodies and techniques to make your book amazing!  Remember, each book will be very different, an art work created by you!!!!!

The class will be started on Friday evening and will take all day Saturday to complete.  When you leave, you will have a beautiful altered book to keep all your “Treasured Memories”!  You can bring your pictures to the crop, but you can also fill it up with pictures later too.  Your book will have plenty of room for lots of pictures, keepsakes and journaling.

I can’t wait for October to get here!!!!

Cropping Talent at the Lodge…

I am starting to get addicted to weekend retreats!  I set up a booth at Paula’s Crop in Scott this past weekend.  There were about 50 people there.  Some were are regular customers, but we also had some people there we’ve never seen before!  It was so nice meeting all of you!  In addition to running the booth, I actually did 3 layouts!  And my teachers, Wendy and Connie, they both created amazing works of art that sets the scrapbooking style here in Lafayette!  Connie and Wendy taught their newest scrapbooking styles. People all around us were taking pictures and actually trying these cool techniques!    I am just amazed at how scrapbooking is forever evolving!  DSC_0884 Wendy Reaux                   Janet Gaar                       Connie Giraurd

On a roll…..

After last weekend I’ve gotten on a scrapbooking roll!  Me, Connie and Wendy had another crop night at the store.  It’s really fun cropping with your fellow teachers….we all tend to have great chemistry cropping together!  I’m a pretty simple scrapbooker, and I’m pushing myself to follow the trends.  It’s been so much fun!!!   Take a look at some of the layouts we did last night…..
