Donna Downey Teaches Today!!!! Happy Birthday to Me!!!

Ok…what would be a better gift for my birthday than to spend the day creating with my friends!!!  Donna Downey came to our store and taught her canvas book class.  I was in awe.  Everyone was in awe.  She ranks up their with Tim Holtz….her creativity, her uniqueness and her teaching were so inspiring!  Molding paste, gesso, gel medium……are now just a few of my favorite things…..There aren’t many classes that I can take that I actually learn different things.  This class blew me away!!!  It blew everyone away.  By the way…did I mention that canvas is now one of my favorites!  And Connie, she loved the canvas so much, be prepared for a layout class created on canvas very soon!!!!  To sum it all up, Donna got our creative juices flowing.   A special thanks to all our scrapbookers who joined us for the weekend.  We haven’t done one of these in awhile…and I have to say….it  was very nice.  The whole group was so awesome!   Thanks for all the support and making our weekend so special!!!   Now, here are some of the pictures of Donna’s class today…..

To all Cricuiteer’s and Cricuiteer Wanna Be’s….

Everyone’s been asking for another Cricuit Class!  Me and Heather Bares have designed a really cool “Life’s A Beach” layout!  The layout is designed to teach different techniques that go beyond just the keypad.  We’ll layer, accent with ink pots and spray mist!  We’ll even teach you the correct way to cut fabric on the Cricuit!  From flipping images to cutting borders, you’ll do it all in this class!  We’ll teach you how to read your book, and some basic trial and error things we learned creating this layout.  We’ll teach you how to care for your mat and what adhesive spray works awesome on the mats!  Also, the instructions will be very easy to understand with correct sizes, settings and pictures.  The layout was designed so that we can finish the class in 2 1/2 hours.  Once you learn the basic techniques, the cartridge has so many awesome things on it, you are welcome to keep adding!

(If you want to buy the kit, the kit will included all paper supplies, Back papers spray misted for you, fabric piece, rhinestones & pop dots) and instructions.   (The Kit is $25)

*** Note: two people can share one Cricuit Expression.  The smaller Cricuit can be used, but some parts will have to be cut on the Expression

1. Tanya and Kay Lynn (Tanya always has tons of layering on her layouts and Kay Lynn uses girly colors in some of her layouts)
2. Paula and Lisa (Paula loves flowers…I have yet to see a layout of hers without them and Lisa’s layouts always make me smile because they are sooo bright and cheerful)
3. Aphra and Patti (Aphra loves butterflies and stick pins and Patti has had layouts that have twigs and vines)
4. Liz and Brandy (I believe that Liz and Brandy have already done a PINK layout)

Congratulations!  You guessed correctly!  I’m impressed!  That was really hard!  The next time you come to the store you’ll get a $25 merchandise gift certificate!!!
